Nissan are the 5 th best-selling car brand in the whole of the United States, and many of them now come with GPS installed as an option extra into the dashboard’s entertainment system. Updating the maps on the Nissan GPS is done via a 2017 Nissan Navigation DVD and should be relatively straight forward, however, some drivers will struggle to do this so this short tutorial tells you exactly. The actual Nissan Navigation Software is pre-installed onto the GPS device, meaning that all the maps and routes will become outdated as soon as a road change occurs. So in effect, from the point you drive your new Nissan car off the car dealership the maps on the GPS will no longer be 100% up to date.
Hey folks.Car Navigation Software Disk Nissan Murano 2010 Downloads
I know this has been discussed before, but it seems like I have some new information that hasn't been posted on NICO specifically before. Or, at least that I haven't seen posted anywhere.
I am coming from a 2007 M35, which had a DVD based system. So, all you did was pop the disc in and you're good.mI heard that after 2008, the navigation moved to being hard drive based and thus required the dealer to perform the update. When looking for the latest update online, Navigation.com states that you get 5 discs keyed to your Navigation units ID. This contradicted what I've been told, so I did some more searching.
Evidently, in 2010, Nissan/Infiniti discontinued the dealer mandate and now you can once again buy the discs yourself however they are keyed to a license, etc.
Here is the link to the maps for my year (2011). I also checked the 2014 Q70, and it also comes on 5 discs.
In case anyone was unsure, I just wanted to share this information. I will be purchasing the 2015 maps as mine are from 09-10 and need updating.
